"We bought our house 2 ½ years ago, but we just moved in this summer. When we moved back to St. Louis, we talked about moving back to the city. We didn't know where, so we were doing research; we moved here from New Jersey. I had to be convinced. We didn't know about what was going on in the neighborhood, the Restoration Group, any of that stuff. We found out about that afterward. We took a tour of the house, looked at everything. I could just see dollar signs on everything; Ron saw the potential. We wanted to move into the city, and he was thinking, well, this is an area where we could really afford to take on a project like this. We got this great house for almost nothing. So far, the people that I've met that are really good people, and more are moving in. There's a variety of age groups, professions, people who have been here for a long time, and newcomers. I like that, I mention that to people. We may have just convinced some friends of ours from New Jersey to move up here. When we were in New Jersey, we didn't think we'd ever be able to afford a house ... and it's a good feeling to be a part of a renaissance."
