13th Street Community Garden

The 13th Street Community Garden has been a feature of the neighborhood for over 20 years. The garden features raised beds for community gardeners as well as market garden rows, where we grow food to sell at the North City Farmer's Market, a small orchard, and in past years, chickens.

Our goals are to provide fresh, healthy produce to area residents & learn sustainable gardening practices in the inner city of St. Louis. We've recently been working to improve many areas of the garden thanks to a grant from the Trulaske Foundation and a Neighborhood Transformation Grant from CDA.

Work days are typically Saturdays through mid-March to mid-October, and we welcome visitors and anyone interested in gardening.

You can reserve a garden bed for a modest $20 fee, plus a couple of volunteer days. Our Gardner's Packet can be found here. You can reserve a bed either using the form in the packet, in person at Central Print on 14th St. You can pay your bed fees online here.
