About the event

Join St. Louis Area Violence Prevention Commission (VPC) and the North Newstead Association (NNA) for a community conversation about regional public safety and policing, police legitimacy, and community policing. Hosted in partnership with St. Louis Place Community Partners and the Old North St. Louis Restoration Group

We will talk about:

- What is and isn't working to keep our neighborhoods safe

- What we expect from police departments in our region

- How communities can organize to prevent violence

*snacks and refreshments will be served*

VPC aligns, convenes, communicates and connects organizations that address violence prevention and reduction.

This activity is financed in part through an allocation of Community Development Block Grant funds from the Department of Housing and Urban Development and the City of St. Louis' Community Development Administration.
