MARK YOUR CALENDAR NOW... The Annual Old North House Tour is coming back this year on Saturday, September 16, 2023! New this year, the event will also include an Arts Festival highlighting the rich talent of local St. Louis artists and performers. This neighborhood-wide house tour and arts festival will show off the warmth of the community, the richness and character of the architecture, the beauty of the community gardens and green spaces, public art, and the dynamic revitalization in progress. This year the big day is scheduled for Saturday, September 16, 2023 from 10:00AM- 5:00PM and will include homes, gardens, murals, and a new arts installation at the Griot Museum on historic St. Louis Ave. In addition, an Arts Festival will be held in Crown Square with local artists, vendors, food trucks, and live entertainment.
With the aid of a tour booklet, this go-at-your-own-pace, self-guided tour provides visitors, friends of the community, and residents of Old North to get up-close views of the award-winning revitalization in progress. More than a dozen stops on the tour will feature beautifully-restored historic homes; a shipping container home with unique design; houses in the midst of rehab; an urban farm; and much more! Ticket sales for the tour will end at 4:00pm. All proceeds will benefit the Old North St. Louis Restoration Group and local artists as they work to continue revitalization of the community in a manner that respects the historic, cultural, and urban character of the neighborhoods.
